What is Yıldızname?
Yıldızname is the Turkish name for works associated with historical stellar divination. It belongs to a varied cultural history, rather than a single universal calculation system. Different texts and traditions should not be collapsed into one supposedly authoritative rule.
Our collection separates cultural context, documented arithmetic and original reflective writing. We do not present a Western birth chart under another tradition's name.
Where abjad fits
Abjad assigns numerical values to Arabic-script letters. Its arithmetic has appeared in several historical contexts, including literary chronograms. Calculating a letter total establishes that sum; it does not establish a person's fate.
The calculator below uses the documented large-abjad table. An optional modern digit reflection follows the sum and is labelled separately.
Spelling matters
A name written in different ways can have different totals. Automatic conversion from Latin script would conceal that choice, so this tool asks for an Arabic-script spelling you know. It never requests your mother's name or another person's family information.
Sources and boundaries
Cultural context: Yıldıznâme, TDV Encyclopaedia of Islam. Letter values and variant-letter rules: Ebced, TDV Encyclopaedia of Islam.
These sources support historical context and arithmetic. The reflective layer is ZodiVela's original writing. This collection does not diagnose curses, establish hidden causes or offer religious authority.
